Hey everybody! I just had to let you all know first of all that the new date for the first ever Slop show is now on December 11'th at the Allasia bar on 332 Mass. Ave. in Cambridge from 4-6 in the afternoon. We're going to be blitzing the world around us with all the flyers we can really soon, and having our first practice with a new drummer, Jake this Saturday. Let's hope this one sticks around!

Well everybody, in case your new here, or your just coming back for some fresh news, thanks so much for visiting my site, and reading this blog of my musical adventures. Now in speaking of musical adventures, one was certainly had by all last night in The Allasia bar, which you can look up at http://www.allasiabar.com. Anyway, there were a couple of pretty good bands first, who they were I'll list in a future blog entry, since it's all a happy blur right now, and then the open mikers, myself included, proceeded to blow the roof off the dump, while the greatest Red Sox game in Boston's history happened for us all! The star of the day, even though he didn't get mvp, in my opinion, and just 'cause I'm such a sucker for a long hair with a beard, was the great and mighty Johnny Damon! He hit his two run homer, you may recall if you were one of the fortunate few that were there, right during Hippie Girl, and I sang something like "Way to go Johnny" right in the middle of the song! It's so ironic that I looked and played in three different states for the right band and the right crowd, and I found them both right back in my home state of Massachusets, so yes you really can go home again, and in the case of the Red Sox, and again, and again! Now because I did my best to sound good (there were only two little mistakes this time!), and that Marc's a hell of a nice guy, Marc the owner of the club I mean, I'm probably going to get to play there again on November 20'th, with the whole Slop and all our best gear I might add! This will be the very first live appearence ever by Slop, so you may just want to get to this musicaly historic event! Now as for the rest of the future of Slop, we're not sure if we're going to either go into the studio, or invest in a p.a. for the band so we can play a bunch of rad party's and other events throughout our hopefully long carreer. Also, we've been repeatedly told that we're going to get to play the Chevalier Theatre here in Medford, so keep coming back for news on that, and please, do sign the message board once in a while, will you? Well that's about it for now. If you were there, thanks ever so much for all the great warmth and response you gave little old me on such a momentous night! I hope I get to tell my grandkids about it someday! Well thanks for reading, and we'll see you on the flip flop, with lots more killer Slop! Laters! p.s. Also, look out in the Medford and Belmont local papers, for a great article on and about who are and what is Slop, by none other than the great and legendary, The Count, Joe Viglione, lately of AMG fame among many other things. For more information about him, and his future and past writtings, about said Slop, and a whole heaping helping of other very great people and bands, go to (in case you might have missed it in a past post) http://www.varulven.com. Well that's really it for now, we outtie!

Hey everybody! Well I can finnaly officialy announce the birth of a new band, Slop. We don't have a website yet, or an email, since yahoo was being lame today, but we'll get all that soon. The members are Pierre on lead guitar, Joey on Bass, and as far as we know, Doug on drums. We had our first practice a few weeks ago, because I met Pierre and Joey at Mass Cann's Freedom Rally, where we proceeded to blow the roof off the dump, as you may have read in my last post. I've got to say that Pierre is the best guitarist it's been my honor to play with. He's wicked good, he busts out with some Hendrix no less, and he's totally humble both about his playing, where we both fit in in the songs, and how long he should solo. Is this kid a dream come true or what? That's a hell of alot better than Mark from The Lords of Uranus, who actually said, "The stage get's kind of crowded with two guitars." Well we'll just have to show him won't we?

Now our first show is going to be in The Allaisia bar thanks to Marc the owner, I just have to play open mike first. Also, thanks to our good friend Joe Viglione, at http://www.varulven.com we may be playing the historic Chevalier Theatre with a bunch of other killer Boston bands in Medford, very soon, so keep coming back and reading up so you can catch the announcements for those shows. Well that's about it for now. I'll write back again soon with more news and all that good stuff. Later brothers and sisters.
