BUMMER! I Just found that there's another band with the name Slop, and their already on cd baby with a cd. Also, to add insult to injury, although I haven't listened to it yet, I'm not sure it's even my cup of tea! What are we going to do, call ourselves Sum 42? How Blink 183? I'll let you know what the band decides, and if the original Slop will sell us the name or not or if so, if it'll be too expensive. So this is a nice christmas present huh?

Here's some bands that are friends of mine! First, let me talk about a band called Crisis. They're at http://www.crisissite.com and http://www.crisisfanatic.com. What are they like? They're like Sabbath with a chick singer, in a nutshell. I met them in Hollywood Rehearsal a couple of years ago. When I was homeless a couple of times, they gave a place to crash, a bite to eat, and I was always welcome to come over and have something to drink, and smoke, and have fun listening to their ultra rad cd collection, or whatever they were working on at the time. Next is SNMNMNM. They call themselves a geek rock band, and that pretty much sums it up. Picture Weird Al playing with Ben Folds Five, and you get the idea. They're at http://www.snmnmnm.com. I also met them at H.R. and we had many a good time together, plus they recorded one of my tunes for me, which I haven't put out yet. It's pretty good, though I might have to do that one again since they didn't have the best gear, but I'm still glad they helped a brother out. Then there's Linkin Park, which are at http://www.linkinpark.com. Chester got the glow in the dark she-it, and they paid me really well for being their roadie and getting their white spray paint for all their road cases. Then there's London After Midnight, which are at http://www.londonaftermidnight.com. They're your basic goth band. They actualy paid me the best for being a roadie, and they're really nice guys, do go check them out. Then there's Oggie, but I lost their link. When I find it again, I'll make sure to post it. Then there's Ohm, which are at http://www.chrispoland.com. Great jazz fusion band, featuring the one and only Chris Poland formerly of Megadeth. We met at Downtown Rehearsal, and he even gave me a great interview on my little cable show. Then there's Hategrowth at http://www.hategrowth.net. They're your basic metal band. I met Tony the drummer on the Metallica board, and he's been my best internet friend ever since. Then there's Audrey Ryan, but we already posted her, so go and read back for her link. She did a total kick ass job on guit-fiddle and vocals on a couple of tunes yet to be added here. There might be a few more, but I have to end it here with last but never least, The greatest rock'n roll band in the world, The Supersuckers, at http://www.supersuckers.com. Eddie Spaghettie's a hell of a swell guy, and he's wicked funny! He also gave me an interview on my show, and his site's message board has never ceased to enrich my life. Well happy holidays everyone, and enjoy all the surfing!

The links to all the other lyrics pages are there, and it's my christmas song, and for the record, I want Dimbebag back for chritmas Godamn it! Anyway, thanks for reading. What's happening freaky people? Well Slop played our very first show, and although we some technical issues, I'll still say it was a success. Sure it got too intense for some, but there were some very hip young kids, and some older folks who stuck around, and four cd's were pre-ordered, so for anyone here who saw us and did that very thing, THANKS SO MUCH!

Now in case you weren't there, yeah, we had a few problems, but what engine doesn't on the first pull? Unfortunatly both Pierre and I had to do too much, so we couldn't get new strings, so we kept going out of tune. It actualy sounded a little like one of the live Hendrix shows I've heard, where he joked around with the crowd, "We're going to play a little tune called tune up blues..." I think I quoted that to, and I think I heard someone laugh, but we were all pretty happy just to be there, so I could've been just hearing things. Also, we actualy blew a fuse! I was blown away. We were right in the middle of Stoners, and all the sudden, zap! No juice. When Marc the nicest bar owner in the world got us back on, we did a rad rendition of Life is Hard by Jhonny Winter, and of course the Slop anthem. Pierre's mom and dad and Joey's mom were all there, and Pierre's mom even gave me a great big hug, and it's such an honor to make them happy. There's just nothing like Momma's love!

Now what's coming up, is another show at the Allasia bar, hopefully in an even more advantageous slot, our first party show, and of course recording of the debut cd, tentatively called "Come and Get It!" As soon as any of these things develope, we'll be right back at you with all the neccesary info so you can all enjoy some more Slop. Well, thanks again for checking us out, have a very merry christmas, and a Sloppy new year! Laters. P.S. we also got to video tape the show, so as soon as we can add some clips of that, you'll have it! Peace and Happiness to you.

Well at last, here's my Supersuckers review! Hey everyone!

This is the infamous sloppy Matt O'Connor, and I have the unbelievable honor or reviewing for you The Supersuckers DVD entitled: Live in Anaheim From The Audio Video Department The Supersuckers. Before we get into the DVD itself, please let me tell you first about all the extras that come with it. Mainly there's a live country cd with such rare tracks as Sail On, Double Wide, Killer Weed, and many more, that aren't featured on the DVD, plus an exclusive interview of The Supersuckers courtesy of Eddie Spaghettie himself. I have to keep reminding myself not to give everything away, so about the cd we'll just say that the band is just as awesome country as it is playing that good old hard punk rock, and there's lots of great comedy from Eddie Spaghettie as he whoops it up with the capacity crowd that sings along and gives them all the cheers they so righteously deserved.

About the interview, it's hilarious! It's also certainly not your typical interview. Eddie instead poses a few hypothetical questions regarding superpowers and what they should be used for according to the member of the band, including himself!

Now before I start with the lowdown on what's in the DVD, let me first introduce the band: Eddie Spaghettie vocals, bass, and acoustic guitar for the country tunes, Rontrose Heathman lead guitars, Dan "Thunder" Bolten rythm and lead guitars, and Dave (?) Murderburger on drums.

Ok, now for the DVD itself. The first song is a special intro for Rock 'n Roll Records I'd never heard before in a different key, so when Rock 'n Roll Records came up I was totally surprised. This track has some great backing vocals, the first of many killer solos by Rontrose, and a great solo by "Thunder" Bolten. Then there's Rock Your Ass, where Thunder plays one of the many awesome wah wah solos he contributes to this disc. Then in Bad Bad Bad, the video changes from it's sepia tones to a rad red filter effect, you've gotta see this! Then for Barricade they throw some of their famous country flavor, with some great slide guitar, some more wah's from Thunder, some more solos from Rontrose, some of Eddie's great comedy for a break and another Rontrose solo. Next it's Evil Powers of Rock 'n Roll, where it's back to the punk show with another killer colored filter, more sepia tones, some nice close ups and yet another great solo by Rontrose. Then for Creepy Jackalope Eye there's even more solos from Rontrose, and an amazing negative effect for part of the video. Then on Bruises To Prove It, there's a kind of negative flame colored filter, I can't even describe, do go check this one out, plus you get to see Eddie's son dancing around to the beat of the band, which'll give you the warm fuzzies for sure. Then on Supersucker Driveby Blues, there's a dreamy blue filter on the whole song which was very fitting, plus still more great solos from Rontrose, and Thunder lays down some more awesome wah wah. Then it's Mudhead, which does a neat computerish toned video effect, with even more great solos from Rontrose, and another wah solo by Thunder. Then on Must've Been High, it's back to the country set, where Thunder gives us one more wah solo, with a wild chorus effect for some extra spice. Then for Pretty Fucked Up, it's back to the straight up punk show in full color, with an amazing solo by Rontrose. Then on I Want The Drugs, there's another great wah solo by Thunder. Then on Luck, there's a special series of mini drum solos by Murderburger, in between some pounding chunky chords from the band. This was one of the greateset moments on the whole disc. There's a whole lot more, but I don't want to give it all away. In conclusion, on Born With A Tail/Non Addictive Marijuana, a bunch of hotties run accross the stage! there's tons of great solos from Rontrose that even changes to wah wah in the middle of it, then Eddie gives the whole crowd the finger, and jokes around with them so they'll sing along, and then it's back into the thrashing punk riffs to a thrilling cresendo, and the band bows in slow-mo. Whew! Was it as good for you as it was for me?

In short, Five Stars! I totally recomend this awesome DVD of full tilt high speed party punk rock 'n roll, uh, if your into that kind of thing that is! Laters!

Sorry it didn't make it onto the gigs page, but I hope we see you all there anyway. Oh yeah, if your actually reading this, could you please sign the fricken message board already!?? It sucks that it always looks like I'm the only one there. Laters.
