Hey everyone, and welcome to my blog! I'm tired from doing some unidentified work in an undisclosed location, and boy am I tired!.

However, because of this I'm going to be checking out the open mike at the Cantab lounge soon. I can find it easily on the train, and catch the bus back, plus it's chaep to do, only three dollars from what I hear. Hey I think I've got that now! It's 4/28/04 now, so this coming wednesday is 05/05/04, and Sunday is 05/02/04, so look for me there either of those nights. I'll probably be playing the following, Don't Follow by Alice in Chains, Lady Luck by Greg Zera, God Won't Knock You Down by Greg Zera, and or Stoners by me, or Rooster by Alice In Chains.

Well that's it for now, time to relax with a brew! Laters.

Matt O'Connor to perform at "Honey Fitz Pub" on March 20th
From THE IRISH EMIGRANT March, 2004

Medford resident Matt O'Connor will be performing at Malden's
Honey Fitz Pub on March 20th along with two bands from New York City, The Baghdaddios and Reflective Insight. The thirty-five year old singer/songwriter
was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and first started jamming with
other musicians when he was fifteen. Influenced by John Lennon and
Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, Matt left the Boston area in 1991 to explore the
music of the West Coast, specifically, the scenes of Spokane, Washington
and Los Angeles, California. He recorded material in L.A. which will soon
be released on "The Demo That Got The Deal" tm radio program cd, the song
"Errand Boy." People can hear his music on

Mr. O'Connor met The Baghdaddio's at the 40th birthday party of
Honey Fitz club owner Stu Mayerson in November of 2003.
The pub, located at 142 Pleasant Street in Malden, featured Baghdaddios bassist Tom Stubenvoll and lead singer/vocalist Kenn Rowell. They performed
some of the music from their 1996 release "Willie Horton Hears A Who",
most notably a folk version of their underground hit "Neil's In Rehab".
The song was a staple on Allston Brighton Free Radio - AM 1670 as well
as on Medford's 91.5 FM, Tufts University's WMFO, so the out of state band
performing at Mayerson's party in Malden, Mass. was not as much of a
stretch as it appeared on paper. When vocalist Rowell and his accompanist
Stubenvoll played The Beatles' "Slow Down" they got the crowd going,
the New York lead singer changing into a Boston Red Sox jersey to much
applause. He then donned an American flag for "Living In The U.S.A."
concluding with the Elvis Presley nugget "That's Alright Mama".

As legend has it (as well as the club's webpage,
http://www.honeyfitzpub.com ) the bar was named after the original owner's
girlfriend "My Honey Fitz". Three owners later Stu has changed the name
to the "Honey Fitz". Some of the performance was taped for Visual Radio-
Television which airs across Massachusetts. One of the stations
broadcasting the program is MATV, Malden Access Television, Tuesdays,
10 PM Channel 3. The station is, coincidentally, located across
the street from the Honey Fitz Irish Pub.

Mr. O'Connor also produces and hosts a television program, The Rehearsal
Space. Pat O'Hara and Pete Kelley of Medford's "The Deal"
( http://www.thedealmusic.com ) were his first guests. Kelley's other
group, The Audrey Ryan band, taped the second edition of the show.
